We paddled at Round Island Riverfront Park today ,located on North Hutchinson Island in Indian River County. We got some great video and pictures. Upon launching our kayaks into the water we came across a Manatee mother and her calf lounging about. We also saw many needle fish and puffer fish along the shoreline. As we paddled our way around Round Island we saw a Roseate Spoonbill resting on a bank. Paddling on we came across a bobcat getting out of the water running onto the island. Continuing past the mangroves we saw many osprey and pelicans. We sat and floated for a bit watching several birds and fish jumping about. As we paddled inland we had a manatee swimming along side of us almost seemed like it was trying to race us. Always a beautiful way to bring in the day taking a tour paddling Round Island Riverfront Park with Kayaks and Boards.
